Four Ingush men convicted of ‘pedophilia’ by Rostov Court

Rostov District Military Court has convicted four Ingush men for the systematic sexual abuse of a young boy over a period of several years. The court found all four guilty, sentencing them to prison.

An investigation began in 2010 after the mother of the victim appealed directly to Alexander Bastrykin, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

According to police, Abukar Polonkoev, Israil Dakiev, Alikhan Nagoev, and Magomed Aushev, all residents of the town of Karabulak, 17 km north–east of the Ingush capital Magas, began to abuse the boy from 2009–2010.

According to the investigation, they threatened the boy and used brute force. As a result, he suffers from serious mental disorders, and doctors have been treating him for several years, they said.

The case was transferred to Rostov to  maintain an impartial investigation. The Court sentenced Polonkoyev, Nagoev, and Dakiev to 19, 18, and 16 years in a high security correctional facility with strict custodial regimes, respectively. Aushev was given 8 years in a general penal colony.
