Community Manager 

OC Media is seeking a Community Manager to oversee the reader revenue direction at OC Media. You would be responsible for communicating with current members to maintain high satisfaction levels and to grow our individual and corporate memberships.

We are seeking a person to work from OC Media’s office in Tbilisi, however an exception may be possible for an exceptional candidate. The working hours are flexible, open for negotiation. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic and multinational team, work with a reputable media outlet and develop professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & implement a membership strategy for OC Media;
  • Develop new acquisitions & retention strategies that ensure OC Media’s overall membership & donations growth;
  • Work hand in hand with the company’s top management to ensure the membership strategy fits into the company’s overall development;
  • Set OKRs and measure performance against them;
  • Optimise the reader revenue strategy at OC Media through continuous learning and feedback cycles;
  • Work with the team on building OC Media’s community and increasing membership satisfaction level; 
  • Improve OC Media’s acquisition, churn metrics, and ARPU and LTV targets;
  • Partner with the editorial team to launch new and deliver existing content products aimed at increasing membership engagement;
  • Build relationships with our community of existing and potential supporters (attending stakeholder events, owning communications with corporate and individual members).

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong command of English language (fluent or native);
  • Experience leading & managing membership and/or subscriptions donations programmes;
  • Professional knowledge of audience analysis and engagement tools and methods (e.g.,  Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager);
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external stakeholders;
  • Knowledge and understanding of OC Media’s values;

Desirable skills

The successful candidate would possess at least some of the following skills:

  • Understanding of news and current affairs in the Caucasus region;
  • Experience working in the news media industry;
  • Education in communication, marketing, or another relevant field;
  • Knowledge of languages spoken in the Caucasus.

What we offer:

  • Remuneration of $1,100–$1,400 gross per month, depending on experience, with the prospect of an increase in the future;
  • Flexible hours, open to negotiation;
  • Two days of paid leave per month worked + Georgian national holidays taken flexibly (10–12 additional days of paid leave per year);

Editor

OC Media is seeking a full-time editor or senior editor to help deliver our award-winning journalism. 

We are seeking someone to work directly under the editor-in-chief alongside our dynamic and multinational team from OC Media’s office in Tbilisi. 

This is an opportunity to work with a reputable media outlet and develop professionally. We encourage our editorial staff to take the initiative and develop their own ideas and products and to take ownership over their work.

  • Native-level English language.
  • Demonstratable knowledge of the Caucasus region.

Tasks:

  • Editing news articles, feature stories, and other content.
  • Fact-checking articles.
  • Working directly with staff writers and freelance contributors to improve their work.
  • Other editorial tasks as they arise.
