Əfqan Muxtarlı hadisəsi: istintaq dayandırılıb?

V

Sürgündəki Azərbaycanlı jurnalist Tbilisidə yoxa çıxıb, ertəsi gün Azərbaycanda istintaq təcridxanasında peyda olmuşdu. Onun qaçırılmasında Gürcüstan tərəfi şübhəli görünür. Muxtarlı məhkəmə boyunca Gürcüstan hökumətini kobudluqla və oğurluqda rolunda günahlandırırdı, Gürcüstan isə bu ittihamı inkar edir. Yerli hüquq müdafiəçilər də onun oğurlanması ilə bağlı istintaqın şəffaf və sürətli aparılmamasını dilə gətirirlər. Siyasi məhbus Əfqan Muxtarlıya ailə üzvlərinin yas mərasiminə qatl

Azərbaycandakı siyasi məhbusların sayı Avropanın tərtib etdiyi siyahıda ən yüskək göstəricilər sırasındadı. Bu təzyiqlər təkcə jurnalistləri, aktivistləri və ya müxalifətçiləri qorxutmaq məqsədi daşımır, həm də xarici siyasətdə alver məsədi kimi də istifadə olunur. “Gəldiyimiz gündən atasını soruşur, deyir, ana daha biz də uzaqlara gəldik görəsən atam da burdadır?!” Bu sözləri hazırda həbsdə olan siyasi məhbus Əfqan Muxtarlının yoldaşı araşdırmaçı jurnalist Leyla Mustafayeva deyir. Their three-year-old daughter Nuray is unaware of her father’s imprisonment; she believes what her mother told her, that her father is simply a long way away. She and her mo

Members of Georgia’s parliamentary majority will meet with the interior minister to discuss Azerbaijani journalist Afgan Mukhtarli, who was abducted from Tbilisi to Baku on 29 May. Both countries have remained largely silent about the details of the abduction, and it is still unclear exactly how the self-exiled journalist ended up in Azerbaijan. Earlier on 16 June, the head of parliament’s Euro-integration Committee Tamar Khulordava said that ‘nothing can be excluded during the investigatio
