Federal prosecutors in Germany have demanded that a man accused of attempting to organise the assassination of a Chechen opposition figure be sentenced to 11 years in prison. Chechen blogger claims he ‘staged own death’ to fool Kadyrov

Chechen opposition blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov has claimed that he planted and orchestrated reports of his murder last December to evade an assassination attempt ordered by Ramzan Kadyrov.  In a video published on his YouTube channel on Sunday, Abdurakhmanov states that he elaborately faked his own death after being informed that the Head of Chechnya had placed an order for his assassination.  [Read more on OC Media: Sweden-based Chechen dissident Tumso Abdurakhmanov reportedly murdered]

Sweden-based dissident Chechen blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov has been assassinated, according to Chechen opposition figures. The details of the plot against Mohmad Abdurakhmanov were revealed by the alleged would-be assassin himself. Tumso Abdurakhmanov, a prominent blogger and critic of Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov, has reportedly survived an attempt on his life in his flat in a European city.
