Regional The EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia has reported that the situation on the border with Azerbaijan is ‘calm and quiet’. The mission stated that ‘no unusual movements [were] observed’ after Azerbaijan accused Armenia of amassing forces on the border. Regional NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg is in the South Caucasus for an official tour. He kicked off his tour with a visit to Azerbaijan, where he and President Ilham Aliyev discussed the peace talks with Armenia. Thousands of people in Georgia have hit the streets for a third day to protest Russia’s invasion of Ukraine as well as their own government’s lack of action. On Saturday, demonstrations took place in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi.
