Political wing of Georgian far-right Alt Info group de-registered as party

The political wing of the far-right and pro-Russian extremist group Alt Info, the Conservative Movement, has been de-registered by Georgian authorities. On Monday, Georgia’s National Agency of Public Registry cancelled the Conservative Movement’s registration on a technicality. Far-right Georgian blogger questioned by security services over alleged bomb threats

A far-right blogger and prominent supporter of the far-right Alt Info group has had his home searched and faced questioning by the Georgian State Security Services (SSG), over bomb threats apparently made earlier this year. Beka Vardosanidze fronts a Facebook blog under his name with 41,000 followers as well as a Telegram channel, BekaNews. He frequently promotes conspiracy theories and posts racist and homophobic content, as well as promoting the activities of the far-right Alt Info group.

Georgian Government orders far-right group Alt Info to pay fine

The Georgian far-right hate group, Alt Info, has begun collecting money to cover a ₾233,000 ($87,000) fine, purportedly imposed in 2022, after the Justice Ministry demanded payment within seven days.
