Georgians have begun voting in the local elections starting from 8:00.

Local elections in Georgia are held every four years to elect mayors and municipal councils.

This year, nine candidates are running for mayor of Tbilisi — 112 others are running for mayor of other municipalities, and 2,228 majoritarian candidates nationwide are competing for council seats.
