Pro-government TV broadcasts images of empty streets
As thousands have gathered in central Tbilisi, the main pro-government TV channel, Imedi is downplaying the scale of the protests. In a drone video posted on the channel’s Facebook page at 17:38 Tbilisi time, titled ‘Freedom Square and Rustaveli [Avenue] right now’, only a small number of scattered people can be seen. At the time, tens of thousands of people were at the protest.
