Wife of Nikol Pashinyan: ‘Our squad is ready for a military task’

A woman’s squadron organised by Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has completed ten days of training and is ready to be deployed, Hakobyan announced on Facebook. ‘Our squad is ready for a military task’, her post reads. 

Azerbaijan: Armenia shelled villages near Tartar 

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence reports that Armenia has shelled four villages in the Tartar region. 

Stepanakert hit with cluster munitions, local authorities report

The Nagorno-Karabakh State Emergency Service is reporting that Stepanakert (Khankandi) is being bombed with cluster munitions. There is no information yet about deaths or injuries among the civilian population. 

Armenian parliamentary delegation to arrive in Moscow today

A delegation from Armenia is due to arrive in Moscow today, RIA reports. The delegation is headed by the vice-speaker of Armenia’s parliament, Alen Simonyan.

Azerbaijan reports shelling of civilian areas overnight

The Ministry of Defence of Azerbaijan reports that this morning Armenian forces have fired on the city of Tartar and nearby villages. They also report that the village of Tapgaragoyunlu in the Goranboy region has also been shelled.

The Ministry also reports that Armenian forces located in the ‘Berd, Chambarak, and Vardenis regions of Armenia’ have fired upon Azerbaijani troops located in the Tovuz, Gadabay, and Dashkesan regions. 

‘Combat operations’ are also reported near Aghdere (Martakert), Aghdam (Akna), Khojavend (Martuni), and Gubadli (Kashunik).

Three civilians reported dead in shelling of Shusha and Stepanakert

Armenian authorities report that the cities of Stepanakert (Khankendi) and Shusha (Shushi) were subject to 'intense' shelling throughout the night. Three civilians were reportedly killed and ‘infrastructure was damaged’.

Last night, battles between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces were reported around Shusha.
